Congratulations - Brighter Dayz, Inc on your 20th Year Anniversary -  "I was a part of this organization when it was still a Research Project (A Therapeutic Intervention to Gang Violence Among African American Males, between the ages of 14-17, within the City of Newark, New Jersey) for Mrs. De La Cruz. I was an angry young man and a violent gang member, but I appreciate Brighter Dayz, Inc. (BDI).  The program accepted me for who and what I was, without judging me, my actions, or my affiliation. I learned to control my temper, be responsible for my actions, and consider the consequences of my actions. BDI redirected me into becoming a more focused and goal-oriented individual, with a positive outcome in society. Thank you, BDI for accepting me and redirecting me towards positivity." Today, I am a Politician, an Author, and give-back positivity to my community. - Bishop

"I was a part of the second group of young men (Blood Gang Member) recruited by Brighter Dayz, Inc. The program empowered me to be a better person in life. The program encouraged me to do positive things, such as go to college, get a job, and to leave the negativity in the street. I became a Sport Medicine major at Essex County College in Newark, NJ. I became a Personal Trainer, and became employed at UPS. Brighter Dayz, Inc offered me counseling services for my anger and a positive environment to express myself and grow as person.
